Aafke Brouwer is a fine artist, illustrator, writer, and literary translator based in Dallas, Texas, now working and publishing as Aafke Art. She is the founder of Paloma Pearl Publishing, an independent publishing house producing illustrated classic novellas and coloring books. Aafke has worked as a freelance artist and illustrator for over 15 years, with work appearing in editions from The Folio Society, Heinemann, and Kingfisher, and contributions to Muck and Magic, a charity anthology published in support of Farms for City Children. She holds an MA from the Royal College of Art, London, and a BFA from the Academy of Arts Minerva, Groningen.
